I am a licensed psychologist based in Portland, Maine. Although I grew up in Northern Maine, I recently returned to Maine after completing graduate school in Illinois and a postdoctoral program in New Hampshire. I was fortunate to have the ability throughout my graduate program and postdoctoral fellowship to work with clients experiencing a variety of concerns. My clients have ranged from college students to adults, and I have experience providing individual therapy, couple’s therapy, and group therapy.
I graduated with my doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in counseling psychology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I completed both my doctoral internship and postdoctoral fellowship at the counseling center at the University of New Hampshire. I received my B.A. in Psychology and Biology from Bowdoin College.
I work with clients on a variety of issues. Our work may change depending on the concerns you are experiencing. I have extensive experiences in working with clients facing anxiety, depression, phase of life issues, and interpersonal/relationship difficulties. One of my specialties is my work with LGBT individuals or people dealing with coming-out concerns.
